Procedural Landscape Study in Houdini (KTT)
This project focused on exploring procedural environment creation in Houdini, with a particular emphasis on landscape generation workflows. The goal was to develop a deeper understanding of Houdini's terrain tools and investigate how procedural techniques can be used to create detailed, scalable environments.
After establishing a foundation with Houdini's native landscape toolset, I expanded the workflow by incorporating KTT, a third-party toolkit that provides additional nodes and functionality for terrain development. Using these tools, I explored advanced terrain shaping techniques and the creation of smaller environmental details that would be more time-consuming to achieve through traditional methods.
Through this study, I gained valuable experience with procedural content creation, node-based workflows, terrain generation, and non-destructive iteration. The project strengthened both my technical understanding of Houdini and my ability to build flexible environment pipelines suitable for game and real-time production workflows.
